LX90 ACF 20.3cm(8")
The Telescope of a Lifetime! Featuring solid state electronics, diffraction-limited ACF optics and precise GO-TO technology, the Meade LX90 ACF is
the ultimate telescope for the amateur astronomer. The LX90 ACF is easy to use, and ideal visual applications.
DIFFRACTION-LIMITED MEADE ACF OPTICS Only
Meade individually figures their water-white corrector lenses and Pyrex® primary and secondary mirrors for superior light transmission, temperature stability, smoothness and correction.
OVERSIZED PRIMARY MIRROR Only Meade manufactures their primar
mirrors in diameters larger than their listed aperture (e.g. the diameter of the 20.3cm(8") LX90s primary mirror is actually 21cm(8.25")). This additional 6.4mm(0.25") yields a wider,
fully illuminated field-of-view, and allows you to see the light other telescopes
leave behind.
RIGID CAST ALUMINUM FORK MOUNT The Meade LX90's Optical Tube Assembly is mounted on two sturdy fork arms giving you a rock solid platform
for astrophotography.
LX200"- SERIES TRIPOD The LX90 comes standard with the same sturdy field tripod as the LX200GPS series telescope.
SMART DRIVE" Only Meades AutoStar provides Periodic
Error Correction (in polar mode). Over the course of one or more training
periods your LX90 will minimize guiding corrections during long exposure astrophotography.
AUTOSTAR CONTROLLER Only Meades AutoStar can be updated after purchase. Log on to www.meade.com to download software upgrades, guided tours and timely objects like comets, satellites and new discoveriesFree! Keep your AutoStar up-to-date, and your LX90 will grow with you for years to come.
AUTOSTAR SUITE" ASTRONOMERS EDITION SOFTWARE is an easy to use planetarium software that allows you to see whats in the sky tonight. Plan observing sessions, print star charts, and even control your telescope all from your PC with an optional cable.
